- Step 1: First, close the eM Client app and restart your computer.
- Step 2: If necessary, perform a clean boot.
- Step 3: After restarting your computer, disable any active firewall or antivirus software that might be preventing eM Client from sending emails.
- Step 4: Launch the eM Client app by double-clicking its shortcut icon on the desktop.
- Step 5: Head to the top-left corner and click the Menu button.
- Step 6: Select the Toolsoption followed by Accounts from the drop-down list.
- Step 7: In the Accounts window, choose your email account that cannot send messages.
- Step 8: Click the Generaltab and verify that you have entered the correct email address, password, and other details in the required fields to resolve this eM client cannot send message issue.
- Step 9: Go to the SMTP tab and verify that you have entered the correct outgoing mail server name.
- Step 10: Also, check whether you have selected the Server requires authentication checkbox.
- Step 11: If you have configured encrypted connection type (SSL/TLS), make sure to enter 587or 465 in the Port field.
- Step 12: For IMAP accounts, go to the IMAP tab and verify the incoming mail server settings.
- Step 13: For POP accounts, navigate to the POP tab and check the incoming mail server settings.
- Step 14: Click OK and send a test email to check if the problem has been resolved.
- Step 15: If eM Client cannot send the message, click the Menu button at the top-left corner and select the Tools option followed by Operations from the drop-down list.
- Step 16: Check if there is any SMTP error in the Log tab.
- Step 17: If you couldn’t resolve the problem and eM Client cannot send messages, reinstall the appand reconfigure your account settings.
