Em Client Error 404 - [SOLVED]

eM Client is a desktop app used by Windows and Mac OS users to access multiple email account on a single platform. If the eM Client app shows error 404, you might be using an Exchange account in the app. Sometimes, this error occurs when eM Client has not been updated for a long time. Go through the troubleshooting steps given below to fix the eM Client error 404.

Solution 1: Update eM Client

You can update the eM Client app in three ways:

  • Step 1:From the eM Client app
  • Step 2:From Microsoft Store
  • Step 3:From the official eM Client site
  • Step 4:To update eM Client with just a few steps, launch the app on your computer and click the Menu button at the top-left corner.
  • Step 5:Select the Help option followed by Check for Update from the drop-down list.
  • Step 6:Now, eM Client will check for the available updates and install them.
  • Step 8:After completing the update, restart your computer and check if the eM Client error 404 reappears.
  • Step 9:If the error remains unsolved, move on to the next solution to troubleshoot the Exchange account configured in eM Client.

Solution 2: Manually Set Up Exchange Account In eM Client

  • Step 1:On your computer, launch the eM Client app by double-clicking its shortcut icon on the desktop.
  • Step 2:Head to the top-left corner and click the Menu button.
  • Step 3:Select the Accounts option and choose your Exchange email account from the left-side panel.
  • Step 4:Click on the Trash icon next to your email account to remove it from the eM Client app.
  • Step 5:Now, restart the app and open the Accounts window.
  • Step 6:Click the Add icon or plus symbol to open the New Account window.
  • Step 7:Select the Mail option and then click on Exchange in the New Account window.
  • Step 8:Click Next and enter your MS Exchange email address in the Email and Username fields.
  • Step 9:Type your account password in the required field and click Next.
  • Step 10:Give a name for your account and click Next.
  • Step 11:Once your email account is added successfully, click Finish to access your Exchange email account.
  • Step 12:Now, the eM Client error 404 should be fixed.
