Em Client Not Syncing Gmail - [SOLVED]

Is eM Client not syncing Gmail? Many eM Client users have experienced this issue when the account settings are misconfigured. To know how to fix the Gmail sync issues on your eM Client app, go through the troubleshooting steps given below.

Solution 1: Enable Less Secure Apps

  • Step 1:On your computer, open the default browser and visit the official Gmail sign-in page.
  • Step 2:Enter your login credentials to access your Gmail account.
  • Step 3:Click your profile icon at the top-right corner and select the Manage your Google Account option.
  • Step 4:Navigate to the left-side panel and click the Security tab.
  • Step 5:Ensure that you have disabled the 2-step verification mode.
  • Step 6:Under Less secure app access, click on the Turn on access (not recommended) link.
  • Step 7:Toggle on the slider in the Allow less secure apps: OFF section.
  • Step 8:Now, sign out from your Gmail account and launch the eM Client app.
  • Step 9:Send a test email from the Gmail account configured in the eM Client app to check if the sync issues have been resolved.
  • Step 10:If eM Client not syncing Gmail still persists, move on to the next solution.

Solution 2: Verify The Server Settings

  • Step 1:In the eM Client app, click the Menu tab and select Tools --> Accounts.
  • Step 2:Navigate to the left-side panel in the Accounts window and select your Gmail account.
  • Step 3:Click the General tab and ensure that all the Gmail services are selected.
  • Step 4:Go to the IMAP tab and ensure that you have entered the correct incoming mail server name and port.
  • Step 5:Under Sync Options, select both the checkboxes.
  • Step 6:Go to the SMTP tab and verify that you have entered the correct outgoing mail server name and port.
  • Step 7:Also, check whether you have selected the Server requires authentication checkbox below Authentication.
  • Step 8:Click OK and check if the sync issues with your Gmail account have been resolved.
  • Step 9:In case your eM Client not syncing Gmail account even after trying these troubleshooting steps, remove and reconfigure the account in the eM Client app.
