Manual Setup Of GMX Email Account In Outlook 2007

On your computer’s home screen, locate the Microsoft Outlook 2007 email client icon and double-click on it.
• Step 1: This will open the main interface of Outlook 2007.
• Step 2: Click the Tools tab at the top.



• Step 3: Choose the Account Settings option.



• Step 4: When the Account Settings window opens, click the New button in the Email tab.



• Step 5: Now, you will see the Add New Email Account screen.
• Step 6: Select the Manually configure server settings or additional server types checkbox for GMX IMAP settings Outlook 2007.
• Step 7: Click Next to proceed with the manual configuration of your GMX email account.



• Step 8: Select the Internet E-mail radio button.



• Step 9: Click Next in the Choose E-mail Service window.

Provide The Following GMX Email Account Details.

User Information

• Step 1: Your Name - Your display name
• Step 2: Email Address - Your GMX email address
• Step 3: Server Information
• Step 4: Account Type - IMAP
• Step 5: Incoming mail server - imap.gmx.com
• Step 6: Outgoing mail server (SMTP) - mail.gmx.com
• Step 7: Logon Information
• Step 8: User Name - Your GMX email address
• Step 9: Password - Your GMX email account’s password
• Step 10: To save the GMX email account password in the Outlook 2007 client, select the Remember Password checkbox.
• Step 11: To open the Internet E-mail Settings window, click the More Settings window.

In The Outgoing Server Tab:

• Step 1: Select the My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication checkbox.
• Step 2: Click the radio button beside the Use same settings as my incoming mail server option for GMX IMAP settings Outlook 2007.

In The Advanced Tab:

• Step 1: Enter the following details.
• Step 2: Incoming server (IMAP) - 993
• Step 3: Outgoing server (SMTP) - 587
• Step 4: Choose SSL or TLS from the Use the following type of encrypted connection drop-down menu.
• Step 5: Click on the OK button to go back to the previous window.



• Step 6: To test your GMX email account settings, click the Test Account Settings button.
• Step 7: Once you see the Congratulations! All tests completed successfully message, click Close in the Test Account Settings dialog box.



• Step 8: Click Next on the Add New Email Account screen.
• Step 9: To exit the email setup wizard, click the Finish button.



• Step 10: Now, you can use your GMX IMAP settings Outlook 2007 email client.
