Solution 1: Mark Emails As Unread Manually

  • Step 1: On your Chrome browser, navigate to the official Gmail sign-in page.
  • Step 2: Log in to your Gmail account with the help of your login credentials.
  • Step 3: Mark an email as unread in your Gmail inbox.
  • Step 4: If you cannot find the unread messages, type the 'in: unread' search operator in the search box at the top and press Enter.
  • Step 5: After marking an email as unread in your inbox, click the Refresh icon in the Checker Plus for Gmail pop-up window.
  • Step 6: Otherwise, wait for a minute. Return to your Gmail inbox and mark another email as unread.

Solution 2: Clear Your Cache And Browsing Data

  • Step 1: On your Chrome browser, open Gmail and log in to your Gmail account.

  • Step 8: Select the More Tools option from the drop-down list and click the Clear browsing data button.
  • Step 9: Select the All time option from the pull-down menu and select both the Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files checkboxes.
  • Step 10: Click the Clear data button and navigate to the Site data settings on your Chrome browser.
