- Step 1: First, sign in to your Hotmail account by entering the correct login credentials.
- Step 2: Go to the Inbox folder and select the Options drop-down menu.
- Step 3: Select More Options from the displayed list.
- Step 4: Click the Filters and Reporting tab under Preventing Junk Email. Select a Junk Email Filter.
- Step 5: Now, select the Standard or Executive option.
- Step 6: Choose your desired option under Block Content from Unknown Senders to show all the blocked attachments.
- Step 7: If you have enabled the blocking feature, you won't be able to receive emails other than your contacts. It prevents other users outside your contacts to send your pictures or attachments via Hotmail.
- Step 8: You can add the email addresses you want to receive messages from to the Safe sender's list.
- Step 9: Make sure to save the settings you have made.
- Step 10: If you are not receiving messages from a specific email address, check whether you have unknowingly added the contact to your blocked list.
- Step 11: Remove the email address from the blocked list to start receiving email messages from the sender to your Hotmail account.
- Step 12: If you are using Hotmail from here Outlook application, click the Settings icon after logging in to your account.
- Step 13: Select the View all Outlook settings and go to the Mail folder.
- Step 14: Now, select Junk email and type the email address of the sender you want to add to the safe sender's list. Click on the Add button.
- Step 15: Click Save after you have made all the changes.
- Step 16: You can also set the other required settings to control junk on your Hotmail.
