- Step 1:Open your Outlook email client.
- Step 2:From the File menu, click Info and select the Accounts option.
- Step 3:The Add New Account window opens. Click the button that says Manually configure server settings and then click Next.
- Step 4:From the following page, click the Internet E-mail option and then Next at the bottom.
- Step 5:For the POP3 configuration, you have to enter the server settings as follows.
- Step 6:Your name – enter your name as you prefer
- Step 7:E-mail address – enter the complete e-mail address
- Step 8:Account Type – POP
- Step 9:Incoming mail server – pop.rediffmailpro.com
- Step 10:Outgoing mail server (SMTP) – smtp.rediffmailpro.com
- Step 11:User Name – type the complete e-mail address of your Rediffmail
- Step 12:Password – password of your Rediff e-mail id.
- Step 13:Check the option Remember password.
- Step 14:At the right side, bottom click on More settings options.
- Step 15:It will direct you to Internet E-mail Settings.
- Step 16:From the options, click on the Outgoing Server tab.
- Step 17:Click on My outgoing server ( SMTP ) requires authentication.
- Step 18:Next, choose Use the same settings as my incoming mail server.
- Step 19:Next, move on to Advanced tab and click on it for port settings.
- Step 20:Enter the following details for port settings.
- Step 21:Incoming server (POP3): 995
- Step 22:Next click This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)
- Step 23:Outgoing server (SMTP) : 586
- Step 24:Use the following type of encrypted connection: select SSL
- Step 25:Choose POP-outlook Leave a copy of the message on the server
- Step 26:Click OK and exit from the page.
