How To Update Aol Account Settings?

Update the general settings of your AOL mail account

Step 1:From your browser, go to the sign-in page of AOL.

Step 2:Sign in to your AOL mail account with the respective credentials.

Step 3:Next to your username, click Options, followed by Mail Settings.

Step 4:Now, click on the General option.

Step 5:If you want AOL to show either the sender’s email address or name, choose the Sender Name Display option and update the setting just as you prefer.

Step 6:If you want to update the appearance of your email in the inbox, choose the Reading option and make the necessary settings.

Step 7:Whenever you receive an email, if you want it to be intimated with a specific sound, choose the New Mail option and select your preferences.

Step 8:If you prefer to choose a specific type of inbox, select the Inbox Style option and choose the style you prefer.

Step 9:For your contacts, if you want them to be displayed in a specific order, you can do it in the Contacts section.

Step 10:These are the general settings that you can update in AOL. Make sure that whenever you make a selection, you click the Save button to finalize the preferences.

Update Compose Settings in AOL

Step 1: If you prefer to update the compose settings of your AOL account, click Options> Mail Settings.
Step 2: From the list of options, choose Compose. Then, you can change the Cc/Bcc, Default compose Mode, Rich Text/ HTML, Display Name, and Sending settings.
Step 3: When you choose the Cc/Bcc option, you can select whether you want the Cc/Bcc option to be displayed or not while composing an email.
Step 4: If you prefer to compose your mail on a pop-up screen, full plane, or a separate window, you can choose this preference in the Default Compose Mode section.
Step 5: For creating a signature for your AOL mail account, choose the Rich Text/ HTML option and create your signature.
Step 6: If you want your emails to be done with a spell check before sending, you can make the necessary changes in the Sending option.

Update the Block Senders list

Step 1: If you want to update the list of spam email senders, you can do it by updating the block senders list. To do it, click on Options> Mail Settings> Block Senders.
Step 2: Under the Block mail from addresses I specify box, enter the email address you prefer to block and click on the + button.
Step 3: In case you prefer to remove a specific email address from the block list, click on the X icon next to it. Then, it will be removed from the block list.
