Step-1: Create An App Password
- Step 1:When you want to access your iCloud Mail account on any third-party apps, you have to generate the app-password.
- Step 2:Open the browser app on your iPhone and go to the official AppleID website.
- Step 3:On the Apple webpage, sign in using your AppleID and then go to the Security settings section.
- Step 4:Select Generate Password, then enter a name and click Create.
- Step 5:Note the password that appears on-screen and then close the window.
Step-2: Set up The Account On Android
- Step 1:Tap the Settings app on your Android mobile and then scroll to the Email Accounts/Accounts menu.
- Step 2:Select Add Account, choose iCloud from the given options if you want to add the iCloud Mail account to the Gmail app, and select Personal (IMAP).
- Step 3:Enter the iCloud email address and tap Next.
- Step 4:Type the app-password that you have generated on the Apple webpage and select Next.
- Step 5:If you wish to set up the iCloud mail server settings for android manually, use the below incoming and outgoing mail server information.
Username: Your iCloud email address
Password: Use the generated app-password
Incoming mail server (IMAP)
- Step 1:Server name: imap.mail.me.com
- Step 2:Port: 993
- Step 3:Required SSL: Yes
Outgoing mail server (SMTP)
- Step 1:Server name: smtp.mail.me.com
- Step 2:Port: 587
- Step 3:Required SSL: Yes
- Step 4:SMTP Authentication: Yes
Save the iCloud mail server settings for android, open the Email or Gmail app on the Android mobile and check if you could access the iCloud Mail account.
