Ever since the new update version came along for Mac, some users have been facing a major error and are not able to log in to their Mac mail (Mail app). Follow the steps as described by us to get rid of the “LOGIN FAILED” error.
- Step 1:Launch your Mac system.
- Step 2:Once the home screen opens, navigate to the Dock section and click the Mail app.
- Step 3:When the Mail app opens, click the Accounts tab at the top pane.
- Step 4:The System Preferences will open the Internet Accounts pane.
- Step 5:You will now see the email account that is linked to the Mail App on the left side of the Accounts pane.
- Step 6:Now you have to make sure that there is a tick for the Mail checkbox, and the checkbox for Contacts, Calendars or Notes is disabled (For example- Gmail)
- Step 7:Now, you can close the window.
- Step 8:Go back to the Mail App’s main window, click the Login Failed error.
- Step 9:The Safari browser will now open a new tab with the Gmail login page.
- Step 10:You will also see the message stating that the MacOS wants to access your Gmail account.
- Step 11:You have to give permissions to all the questions asked. Finally, click the Allow button.
- Step 12:You can now close the Safari browser window.
- Step 13:Click the Mail app located in the Dock section.
- Step 14:You will no longer receive the Login Failed error
