- Step 1: On your Mac, close the Mail app if it is open.
- Step 2: Click the Finder menu and select the Go option from the drop-down menu.
- Step 3: Tap and hold the Option key and click the Library icon.
- Step 4: Locate and give a double-click on the Preferences folder.
- Step 5: Select the “.plist” files from the displayed list and give a right-click on them.
- Step 6: Select the Move to Trash option from the pop-up menu.
- Step 7: Click the Trash icon near the Dock and empty the trash.
- Step 8: Open the Library again and go to Containers, followed by com.apple.mail.
- Step 9: Select Data and then click Library.
- Step 10: Open Saved Application State and locate the com.cpple.mail.savedState files.
- Step 11: Move them to trash and navigate to Library.
- Step 12: Select Mail followed by MailData.
- Step 13: In the MailData window, select the Envelope Index, Envelope Index-shm, Envelope Index-wal files and move them to the Trash folder.
- Step 14: Exit the library window and relaunch the Mail app to check whether you could access the Smart mailbox feature.
- Step 15: If the Mac Mail Smart Mailbox Not Working properly Click the Call or Call Us button available on this screen to get remote assistance.
