How To Configure Mailbird Yahoo Settings?

Yahoo Incoming Mail Server (IMAP)

Yahoo Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)

• Step 1 : Yahoo Outgoing server: smtp.mail.yahoo.com
• Step 2 : Outgoing Port number: 465
• Step 3 : Outgoing server security: SSL (Secure Shell)
• Step 4 : SMTP username: Your Yahoo email address
• Step 5 : SMTP password: Your Yahoo email password

Here are the steps to configure the Mailbird Yahoo settings.

• Step 1 : Open the Mailbird application; the Welcome message appears on the screen.
• Step 2 : Click the Mailbird menu and select Options -> Accounts.
• Step 3 : Click the + icon to add the account; the Create Account dialog box appears.
• Step 4 : Type the name in the Your Name text box.
• Step 5 : Enter the Yahoo email password in the Password text box.
• Step 6 : Click the Continue button; the Mailbird application will detect the server settings for the account.
• Step 7 : Click the Edit Server Settings option and enter the IMAP and SMTP information.
• Step 8 : Click the IMAP option.
• Step 9 : Enter imap.mail.yahoo.com in the Server name text box.
• Step 10 : Enter 993 (IMAP) in the Port text box.
• Step 11 : Select SSL/TLS in the Encryption list box.
• Step 12 : Confirm the username and password.
• Step 13 : Under Outgoing Server, type smtp.mail.yahoo.com in the Username text box.
• Step 14 : Type 465 in the Port text box.
• Step 15 : Select SSL/TLS.
• Step 16 : Click the Requires Authentication checkbox.
• Step 17 : Once the configuration is complete, check the information.
• Step 18 : Click the Continue button.
