- Step : 1 Ensure that you have a MindSpring email account. Otherwise, you can create a new account.
- Step : 2 Open the Settings application on your iPhone.
- Step : 3 Select the Passwords & Accounts tab. Tap Add Account.
- Step : 4 Choose Add Mail Account and type the credentials.
- Step : 5 Enter the incoming mail server address as imap.earthlink.net.
- Step : 6 The incoming server port number is 143 for an insecure connection.
- Step : 7 It is recommended to set up your email account with port number 993 for a secured SSL/TLS connection.
- Step : 8 Enter your MindSpring email address in the Username section.
- Step : 9 Type your email password correctly.
- Step : 10 If you have selected POP as the account type, enter the incoming server address as pop.mindspring.com.
- Step : 11 Enter the incoming port number as 995.
- Step : 12 Select the security type as SSL.
- Step : 13 For an insecure connection, type the port number as 110.
- Step : 14 When prompted for sign-in, click Yes.
- Step : 15 The SMTP or Outgoing server address is smtpauth.earthlink.net.
- Step : 16 Enter the port number as 587.
- Step : 17 Choose the Security type as STARTTLS.
- Step : 18 If you don’t want a secure connection, enter the port number as 25.
- Step : 19 Enter your email address (with domain name) in the Username section.
- Step : 20 Type the MindSpring email password correctly.
- Step : 21 Also, choose the authentication method as password.
- Step : 22 Once you have configured your MindSpring email account, you will be able to access your email account on your iPhone to send and receive emails.
