THUNDERBIRD GET MESSAGES NOT WORKING

Thunderbird Get Messages button almost acts as a refresh button. When you click the Get Messages button, Thunderbird pulls any messages (haven't been displayed on your inbox) that have been sent to you. • Step 2:At the top of Server Settings, check the Server Type.
• Step 3:Make sure the Server Type is IMAP.



• Step 4:In the Folder Pane, right-click the account.
• Step 5:Click Subscribe.
• Step 6:Next, click Refresh.
• Step 7:Now, check if the Sent folder is subscribed.
• Step 8:Also, check whether the correct folder is chosen in the Copies & Folder section under Account Settings.

THUNDERBIRD OUTGOING MAIL NOT WORKING

• Step 1:Go to the Edit menu in the Thunderbird menu bar.

Outgoing SMTP Server Settings:

• Description:Name for your SMTP server.
• Server Name:Your outgoing mail server address.
• Default port:Enter 25 or 587
• Connection security:Choose your desired connection security.
• Authentication Method:Choose from the drop-down list.
• User Name:Your mail ID.

Delete the SMTP password

• Step 1:Go to Tools --> Options.
• Step 2:Click Security --> Password.
• Step 3:Here, you can delete the SMTP password and configure your email account.
• Step 4:Launch the Thunderbird application and go to the ISP site if you wish to reset the SMTP password.
• Step 5:Click Reset Password.
• Step 6:Create a new password for your account.

Sometimes, these steps could really help in fixing this issue. Try sending an email again and check if everything is normal.

Verify the SMTP server

To send a message, you must use the correct SMTP server settings.

• Step 1:Open the Thunderbird mail app.
• Step 2:Click Edit in the menu bar.
• Step 3:Select Account Settings.
• Step 4:Choose Outgoing Server (SMTP) in the left panel.
• Step 5:Verify that you're using the correct SMTP server for your email address.

You can't send any messages from one account provider using another account provider's service.
