- Step 1:On your iPhone, tap the Settings icon to open the Settings app and navigate to Password & Accounts.
- Step 2:If the Passwords & Accounts tab is unavailable, tap the Mail tab followed by Accounts.
- Step 3:Tap the Add Account button, and you will see a list of email service providers.
- Step 4:Tap the Other button to configure the server settings manually for your yahoo mail SMTP settings.
- Step 5:If you choose Yahoo email from the list of email service providers instead of selecting the Other button, it will configure your Yahoo account settings automatically.
- Step 6:In the Other window, select the Add Mail Account tab available under the Mail section.
- Step 7:Type your desired name in the Name field.
- Step 8:Enter your Yahoo mail address in the Address field and type the correct password in the Password field.
- Step 9:Type a description for your mail in the Description field if necessary and tap Next.
- Step 10:Choose either IMAP or POP as your account type.
- Step 11:If you choose IMAP, your account can be accessed on multiple devices.
- Step 12:Make sure you have allowed access for IMAP on your Yahoo webmail to avoid incoming mail server errors in the future.
- Step 13:Under Incoming Mail Server, enter the incoming mail server name (for example, imap.mail.yahoo.com) in the Host Name field.
- Step 14:Fill up the User Name and Password fields with your Yahoo mail credentials.
- Step 15:Under Outgoing Mail Server, enter the outgoing mail server name (for example, smtp.mail.yahoo.com) in the Host Name field.
- Step 16:Enter the Yahoo mail address in the User Name field and type the correct password in the Password field.
- Step 17:Tap Next and wait until the account verification is complete.
- Step 18:After completing the verification, toggle on both the Mail and Notes button.
- Step 19:Tap the Save button to save the configured SMTP settings.
- Step 20:Now, verify your Yahoo account by accessing it from the Mail app on your iPhone and also yahoo mail SMTP settings.
